MP3Nut Referer HelpHow to use your Portable A-Z Archive
When you sign up, you're automatically given the ability to have a portable A-Z MP3 Archive that can go on your site, even without a database. Here's how it works: The html code for the Portable A-Z Archive The A-Z archive will show a list of up to 25 mp3s at a time, in pages (so if you have 30 that start with A, it will show the first 25 at one time giving a link to see the next 5) - all from your site. All you do is use the tool below to generate code for it - so it knows whether to open download pages in the same window or a different one, to browse by artist or title, and what letter you want to show (you can also do it manually). 1. Get your html code Put this code on the page that will show the mp3 listings where you want the list to show.
<script language="Javascript">
<!--
document.write('<script src="http://mp3nut.com/ref/jsbrowse.php' + location.search + '"><\/script>');
// -->
</script>
2. Get the link code The form below will generate a link that you can cut and paste into your site to link to a page of your archive. For example, you could make a link that links to the page that shows the archive listing and tells it to show mp3s with artists starting with S, and to open download links in a new window. The letter code (the l=[a letter] part) just has the first letter of the result list in it (unless its for numbers, then put 9). You can manually change the link by changing that letter (allowing you to change quickly for a through Z so people can browse the archive). If you have any questions about it, email me using the contact page.
Now all you have to do is copy that code into your pages to get the link. If you want to make links completely manually, use this URL to make your link: Later there will be a referer FAQ here, but I need to get questions first to make a list of them - so if you have any, email me. |
